I am a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a friend – and a writer.  I live in Chicago in a small city condo with my husband of 10 years, Tim.  I have a grown son, Adam, who lives in Florida and never misses a moment to tell me how much he DOESN’T miss the midwest winters.  I hope to visit a lot.

In addition to writing, my passions include reading (mostly memoir), animals, pop culture and laid-back vacations in New Mexico and Northern Michigan. Both places inspire me.

At age 60, I’m still growing and discovering new things every day.  I am amazed at the life lessons I continue to learn. I hope to share some of those discoveries in this blog.  For me it’s a way to accomplish some personal goals I made as I approached my  big “decade” birthday: 1) Write more regularly.  2) Focus on today.
